Underneath the Clouds

Graduation from Alma Mater Eurpaea – Dance Academy in Ljubljana, Slovenia – 2023

Starting from my form of expression I approached the work from an aesthetic expression rather than from the expression of a clear matter. The intensive work on the form, shape and quality of the movements as well as their insertion into a spatial composition made them gain meaning. They were expressing my personal story of growing up surrounded by women. Telling ’her-story’ the past experiences of female family bonds. With my thesis and the creative process that was a component of it, I tracked down the path of contemporary dance practitioners to understand where my knowledge and my physical skills originated. I researched the history of contemporary dance and it transformed into ’her-story’.
